EPIC Unisource Inc. (EPIC) is a private Alberta company dedicated to the development of a North America-wide, Web-enabled, All-Hazard Emergency Response System.

The EPIC System has been in development since 1998. Other providers have only recently arisen in response to the events of September 11, 2001.

Initially developed for the energy industry, the EPIC System provides significant cost savings to all phases of an emergency response project, particularly the planning, maintenance and management. Our proprietary architecture is integrated into our call center and served securely on the Internet.

EPIC is dedicated to becoming an international supplier of emergency solutions and therefore is committed to forming alliances with Agencies and groups that bring top experts to a single table to agree on standards, procedures, and systems for warning people at risk so that they can take actions to save lives, reduce losses and speed recovery.

Public warning collaboration brings warning experts from government, business, academia, the media, and other organizations together with first responders and those at risk. Our alliance partner's work includes:

» Finding ways to securely input warnings from thousands of locations
» Examining and developing options to bring warnings to people at risk
